Based in Palmerston North since 1995 we are a family first swim club. Growing all levels from non-competitive/club swimmers through to competitive.
We are excited to officially announce the appointment of Jon Winter as our new Head Coach.
Jon brings more than 35 years of coaching experience and a wealth of knowledge from working with swimmers at every level, from developing athletes through to Olympians. He is highly respected throughout the New Zealand swimming community and has a proven track record of helping swimmers achieve their potential.
As Head Coach, Jon will lead our entire coaching programme, supporting both our swimmers and coaching team. His role will include mentoring coaches, strengthening our pathways, and ensuring all swimmers across the club receive the support and guidance they need to develop and succeed.
Many will also know Jon from his outstanding swimming career, representing New Zealand at the Olympic Games, World Championships, Pan Pacific Championships, and three Commonwealth Games.
Most importantly, Jon’s values and passion aligns with Ice breaker Aquatics in creating a positive, supportive, and high-performing environment where swimmers, coaches, and families can thrive.
We are excited about what lies ahead and look forward to sharing more details as Jon prepares to join us in Palmerston North
